Happy Howl-o-ween

Happy Howl-o-ween everyone! Tristin here, I know it's technically not till tomorrow. But Quincy & myself will be spending time with our Aunt Bev. Boy do I absolutely love it when we stay there. We get to go play and see her pack and word has it she has a new foster dog for MaPaw. We can't wait to meet him, he came from Pacca. I heard mommy telling daddy that he is supposed to look something like Quincy.

Quincy is upset that he don't get to go trik-er-treatin'. He got to go last year with mom and dad. He was dressed up like a devil. That is how Mud Man got his nick name Devil doggie. Mom said he was a devil the whole night, he HATED his costume and would only wear it for very short spurts of time.

Mommy made us some yummie pumpkin cookies but she said we can't have them till tomorrow. Since tomorrow is Howl-o-ween. I hope she sends them with us when we got to Aunt Bev's so we can share them with Yasha, Yuri, Quinn and Poods. Keep your paws crossed. I will have to update you all later on how they turned out and on how our night at Aunt Bev's goes.

I hope everyone has a safe and healthy Howl-o-ween! Stay away from the candy and the exits!!!

Love and Licks,
Tristin & Quincy

Busy, Rescue & Build-A-Husky

Hi every doggie girl and boy. Sorry Tristin and I have been MIA for so long. Our mom and dad have been busy and we couldn't get near the 'puter. Stupid humans!!! The make me so angry sometimes.

Anyways, like I said we have been busy too. Mom and dad are looking at houses and searching for a place for us to live. Can you believe people won't let us come live with them.... HOW RUDE!! Mom actually told this one lady off because she told mom that she could have one of us there but the other couldn't. What the heck kinda crap is that?? So what was mom to do.. Flip a coin and toss one of us out in the streets? Mom told her thanks for wasting her time but no thanks. Good girl mommy!!! I knew she loved us! ;-) Boy are we lucky boys.

Other than that mom started her Christmas shopping for her kids. I overheard her saying to dad that she wanted to get both Tristin and myself new crates. Oh are we looking forward to that. I hope we get them....

Mom is no longer a volunteer for HTH. She left the group a few weeks ago. But she isn't out of rescue completely. I knew she wouldn't be able to not do it. She loves it too much. She is now a member of Mapaw. She loves it and says all the people are wonderful. I can't wait to meet some of them. My mom has good taste in humans. If I do say so myself.

Her and daddy went to the Woman's Humane Society on Saturday to eval a husky that was there with her sibling. But was very happy to find Isis (that was her name) was already adopted pending a yard check. Mommy took down her tag number to check back on her in case her yard check don't pan out. I heard mom-mom saying she was beautiful. She was a red & white 6 month old with blue eyes. Mom-mom said she would have loved to have her come home and live with us. Just what we need around here another pesky kid getting into trouble.

Awe I have to tell everyone this but DON'T tell my mom I told she'll be upset. On Saturday they did some Christmas shopping with her mom and dad. An they had her make/adopt a build a bear husky. Mommy built a husky (DUH) and named her Nanook after our sister that is in heaven. Mommy cried while she was making her. She gave her a heartbeat and when you squeeze her her heart really beats. I heard daddy saying that mommy had everyone in there crying and in tears. She named her Nanook after our sister and even got her a birth certificate. She said it was in remembrance of the love of her life. I am glad mommy got to do that for my sister!!

Our 1st Interview

We have finally had the privilege of being interviewed by someone. We had requested that our dear friend Holly interview us and she did!!! Here are our questions and answers. I (Quincy) will go first:

Quincy:
1. What so you like most about Tristin?

Hmm, this is a very hard question but a very good one. If I had to narrow it down to only one thing it would have to be his playful nature. Tristin and I have always gotten along great. I remember the first day we met before mom and dad adopted him. We hit it off right away and were playing like he had known each other our entire lives. I remember mom, and Bev Tristins former foster mom jokingly saying "Jeez, you'd swear they were from the same litter". We were just meant to be brothers. So Yeah, most definitely his playful nature, we can play for hours on end.

2. Would you prefer to be an only dog, or have more fur siblings?

Oh no, I wouldn't want to be an only dog. I would love more than anything to have more fur siblings. But they would all need to know that I am in charge. I rule this roost!!

3. What is your favorite toy?

Owe another good one. I LOVE LOVE LOVE toys, especially ones Tristin has. But still my all time favorite toy is my kitty that my former foster mom and dad gave me. He is very well taken care of, my mommy makes sure hes nice and clean for me. The only thing is now he's missing his eyes... He looked at me funny one night so I took his eyes out.. LONG STORY. ;-)

4. Where is your favorite place to sleep?

I have a few favorite places to sleep actually. One would be with my mommy when she stays down here with us. But I also like to sleep at the bottom of the steps, its hard floor and its always cool. But my crate is my favorite place b/c I know that's my space. When I go in there mommy wont let her kids bother me and I can have my down time.

5. Do you know any tricks?

Yes, I do. I will shake and give "hi-fives". Mommy loves it when I do that. She always makes me do it when we do events with rescue. People seem to really get a kick outta it. I don't mind because I usually get yummies afterwards for being a good boy.

OK those were GREAT questions Holly. Thanks so much for interviewing me. I will let Tristin answer his questions now...

Hello every doggie boy and girl, Tristin here. I will now answer my interview questions.

Tristin:

1. What do you like most about Quindy?

I do have to say that the thing I like most about my brother would be his caring nature. Not too many people know this but when I was adopted I had a lot of "issues" I was afraid of everything and absolutely hated being alone. An Quincy was always there by my side to help me along with my mom and dad, overcome my issues.

2. Where would you like to visit, if you could go anywhere in the world?

I would love to go with my entire family to somewhere where it snowed all the time. I just love the snow. Mommy calls me her snow bunny.

3. Who is your hero?

My mommy is my hero. I love her more than anything in this world. She saw something in me that no one else did. I was a foster dog for quite some time and not one person was interested in adopting me. Lucky for me my mommy saw what others couldn't. So she convinced my dad that she just absolutely HAD TO have me. So when he came around they adopted me on Nov 25th, 2006 and I have been in absolute heaven ever since. Not to mention the fact that she was very patient with all my issues.

4. What is your favorite treat?

Oh this is a good one. I love food all kinds, but my absolute favorite treat would have to be bologna. We have our pop-pop trained he gives us both bologna each and every morning. An if he don't you'd better believe he hears about it.

5. Do you like it when people visit?

It depends on who it is. But usually I don't mind when people come over to visit. I like the attention, when my greedy hog brother allows me to get it.

Thanks Holly that was fun. I enjoyed answering your questions, good job on coming up with such good ones. Now comes the fun part Quincy and I have the opportunity to interview some of you.

If you want me to interview you, here's what you need to do:

1. If you are interested in being interviewed, leave me a comment saying, 'interview me.'
2. I will respond by posting five questions for you. I get to pick the questions.
3. You will update your blog with a post containing your answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

Come on now who wants to be interviewed by the Mud Monster and the DWB?? If you do all you have to do is leave a comment saying interview me!!

Tagged again with the new tag game

Hell-woooo everyone. Sorry we have been MIA for a while. Things here have been very crazy over the past week. Last week was a very sad week for all of us. Mommys kids were in the hospitol. Mommy had medic-wol problems she had to attend to. An two of our ferret siblings crossed over the rainbow bridge. Romeo and Juliet are now at the gates of the bridge with our sister Nanook. Just to name a few of the bad things that have happened here. Hence why we have been so scarce.

Anways it seems we have been tagged by our friend Bama. Bama came up with this new tag game that she is calling "The new tag game" it's actually pretty cool. We haven't done this one before. So here's how it works... basically all you have to do is list all the nicknames your human counterparts have for you. So here goes I will go first and then Tristin will do his.

Quincy-> Mud Monster, Puppers, Momma's boy, Doodle-bug, Love-bug, Doodles, Fuzz-butt, Mud-man, Dirty butt, Pup, Frick, Jealous, Lover boy, Garbage-gut, Bottom-less pit, Snuggle buggel, Cuddle pup, Mommys four legged child, Quince, and Q.

Tristin-> DWB (dirty white boy), Knuckle-head, Frack, Momma's boy, Shadow-puppy, White ass (don't ask me I don't particularly like this one either), Fuzz-man, Gentle giant, Tristin two-barks, Bob Barker, Lap pup, Mommy's four legged child, Trist, T, Picky, Love bug.

Hmmm.. We think thats it but I am sure there are a ton more. If we remember anymore I will post them at a later date.

Busy all around town

What can I say? It was a busy weekend here in PA. We did the Hike N Howl on Saturday with mom and dad. BOY, were there A LOT of huskys there. It was soooo stinking awesome. We got to see a lot of HTH alumni like us. We got to see our foster parents who took care of us before mommy and daddy adopted us. Mom brought her camera along to get pics but somehow it got broken in the car. I swear it wasn't us. Mom is pretty upset about it. So she is gonna see if we can borrow pics from other people to post later in the week.

There was this funny looking husky who walked around on two legs... what a sight that was. Don't tell anyone but my dad was in that.. well in whatever it was. I hear other people were inside it too. That is just creepy.. why would humans wanna be in a husky? Don't they know huskys don't walk around on two legs. An you don't see us walking around on two legs in people clothes or people skin.. Now do you??? I didn't think so!!!

Mom is also a lil sad about something else. . . I don't know if I told anyone or not but she had been taking care of a baby squirrel that fell outta it's nest and got hurt. He was I think, the 4th or 5th one mom has cared for. She was bottle feeding him and doing all the mommy things. An sadly he crossed over the rainbow bridge the morning of the hike. So everyone please say a lil prayer for him.

Oh. . I also forgot to tell everyone we got another ferret sister. Dad brought her home for mom the week before the hike. She is an albino like Romeo. Her name is Princess like our mommy. We have some pics of her but I have to see if mom will give up her camera so I can get the pics off the memory card. Keep an eye out for the pics everyone shes adorable!!

Sunday was an awesome day.. Our friend Indy came over with his mom and we got to play. He is so much fun I can't till we get to play again. Tristin really liked Indy he wanted to play with him like he does with me. But everytime Indy tried to play with him he'd roll over and be a baby. Indy's mom sent our mom the pics she took so we will have to find them and post them later in the week.
