Business is booming, Santa Paws

Hey everyone Quincy here... Man talk about crazy. . . Mom and dads clock business is booming. They have been making so many clocks. Apparently we are more famous then we thought. That and apparently we aren't the only ones. It would seem that everyone wants a special clock made. Either with pictures of their fur-kids or their huu-man kids. So mommy and daddy have been spending a lot of time doing that.

Things have been nuts -- Yes -- But I do wanna set the record straight I DIDN'T RUN AWAY. I just wanted to check out my new neighborhood. I don't see what the big deal was. Or why Daddy found it necessary to pounce on me while I was pooing. I mean god he don't like it when I come in the barf-room when hes "handling business". Seriously can't a guy have a little privacy anymore???? An who is he really kidding he only got me because I let him. I could out run that old man no problem!!

With Christmas and Santa Paws coming. The new house and now mum and dads clock business. We haven't had much time to do anything. I have heard mum saying that for Christmas Santa paws is bringing us new crates, crate beds. Like the ones our friend Indy got. An other things so we're so super excited!!! But no one can tell her we overheard that. I think its supposed to be a secret. So Shhhhh!!

Oh have I mentioned that tonight I am going to spending the night at my grandparents with mum and dad. So I get to run around like a loon in their HUMONGOUS back yard!! WOOO WOOOOO I am getting the wiggles thinking about that!

BTW. . . I am very offended that my brother called me an uber-dork. I am no more an uber-dork than he is. So there!! An those of you who think its funny :-P on you!!! Oh yeah and phuut on my brother so what he saw Santa paws first. I will see him too. You just wait and see. The brat!!!

Insane week, Christmas tree and Santa Pic

Hey everyone,
Tristin here -- This week has been insane to say the least. Quincy got out last Sunday and ran away. Mommy and Daddy were chasing him all over looking for him. Thankfully Momma spotted him up the road -- Get this -- In the middle of the busy road with cars driving right at him. Mommy was out front in her pjs, no socks, pants soaked up to her tush screaming for him and daddy and for people to slow down (But in not so nice words). Would you believe me if I told you that not even one person so much as tapped their breaks. Momma made herself so sick she was puking in our front yard, I know I know -- YUCK!!! She also had herself so upset her blood sugar was up over 600. (Momma is diabetic so that's not a good number or so I hear)

OK now everyone Relax -- Thankfully Daddy caught the mud man pooing in someones back yard. Momma was crying saying how he was headed towards I-95. I dont know what I-95 but by the way momma was talking about it sounds bad. I overheard daddy saying that Quincy scared a poor lil old woman half to death. Apparently Quincy was at her front door trying to get in when she opened the door. Daddy said she screamed and slammed the door shut. Mom and dad did go back and they appoligized for Quincy scaring her. Personally I think its kinda funny. Why would anyone be afraid of Quincy hes an uber-dork!!! Then mom explained to me that maybe she is just one of those people who are afraid of all dogs. I still can't believe there are those kinds of people in this world. Humph!

The huu-people got their Christmas tree and boy does it smell good. Quincy and the huu-man kids won't leave it alone. I will post a few pics of it for everyone to see. Mom's mom found the husky ornament that Magic and Georgies mom has. An she bought one for our mommy. Mommy loves it -- Well Duh It is a Husky.

This is our tree -- Isn't it just purdy???

These are mommys two husky ornaments. The one like Georgie & Magic's mom and the one Daddy bought her. They are my favorite two ornaments on the tree.

I got my picture taken with Santa Paws. My Aunt Bev took me too see him -- Quincy didnt get to go when I did because the knucklehead chewed through his leash after he came home. HAHA I finally got to do something the mud man couldn't do! So mum and dad are taking him later this week if there is an opening to get his pic taken with a different Santa Paws. So here I am in all my glory ain't I just the cutest???

Well for now I think thats all maybe if we have time either Quincy or myself will post another blog tonight before we go to bed. We miss you all dearly.

Husky love and licks,
Tristin

God Speed Dear Thrawn

It is with very heavy hearts and very soggy eyes that we must say good-bye to our dear friend Thrawn. He crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on Thursday afternoon. Everyone please pray for the rest of his pack and for his sweet mommy Maryann.

Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow
Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially
close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow
Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our
special friends so they can run and play
together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and
our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are
restored to health and vigor; those who were
hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again,
just as we remember them in our dreams of
days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for
one small thing; they each miss someone very
special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day
comes when one suddenly stops and looks into
the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His
eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run
from the group, flying over the green grass, his
legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your
special friend finally meet, you cling together in
joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The
happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands
again caress the beloved head, and you look once
more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long
gone from your life but never absent from your
heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Author unknown...

God Speed Thrawn. God bless you Maryann and the rest of the Happy Hound Pack. You are all in our prayers and thoughts. Sibe vibes are being sent your way from the 'Savage crew tonight. XOXOXO

We're famous & New House

Hi everyone -- I know, I know we have been gone a long long while. But for good reason. We moved -- It finally happened mom and dad got us a house with a HUGE backyard. The fence is 6ft high and there is something called "L barb wire" at the top. Our yard isn't quite as big as our grandparents but its still big!!! An according to mommy its safe for us too!!

Oh and I have I mentioned we are famous now!! Not only did we make the cover of HTH's Cookbook but we are now on the faces of clocks. My mom and dad are making and selling clocks. They can make them with pictures of anything or anyone. I will show you pictures of a few of them that Mommy and Daddy made:

That one is obviously of me the Mud man, Quincy.

This one is -- We'll duh. The DWB Tristin.

An those two are of our sister Nanook. The only difference in the two of them is the back round color of the clocks.

Mommy has made other clocks other than Huskies but I don't personally see a point in posting pictures of them. They are cute and all but lets just be honest they aren't Huskies.

I do wanna put out there that mommy can make these clocks for anyone with any picture you want in them. Just message me and I will put you in contact with my mommy to discuss details. ;-)

We should be back in the swing of things right after the Holidays are over. We didn't forget about all our pals. We love and Miss you all VERY much!!

Love & Licks,
Quincy & Tristin

Happy Howl-o-ween

Happy Howl-o-ween everyone! Tristin here, I know it's technically not till tomorrow. But Quincy & myself will be spending time with our Aunt Bev. Boy do I absolutely love it when we stay there. We get to go play and see her pack and word has it she has a new foster dog for MaPaw. We can't wait to meet him, he came from Pacca. I heard mommy telling daddy that he is supposed to look something like Quincy.

Quincy is upset that he don't get to go trik-er-treatin'. He got to go last year with mom and dad. He was dressed up like a devil. That is how Mud Man got his nick name Devil doggie. Mom said he was a devil the whole night, he HATED his costume and would only wear it for very short spurts of time.

Mommy made us some yummie pumpkin cookies but she said we can't have them till tomorrow. Since tomorrow is Howl-o-ween. I hope she sends them with us when we got to Aunt Bev's so we can share them with Yasha, Yuri, Quinn and Poods. Keep your paws crossed. I will have to update you all later on how they turned out and on how our night at Aunt Bev's goes.

I hope everyone has a safe and healthy Howl-o-ween! Stay away from the candy and the exits!!!

Love and Licks,
Tristin & Quincy

Busy, Rescue & Build-A-Husky

Hi every doggie girl and boy. Sorry Tristin and I have been MIA for so long. Our mom and dad have been busy and we couldn't get near the 'puter. Stupid humans!!! The make me so angry sometimes.

Anyways, like I said we have been busy too. Mom and dad are looking at houses and searching for a place for us to live. Can you believe people won't let us come live with them.... HOW RUDE!! Mom actually told this one lady off because she told mom that she could have one of us there but the other couldn't. What the heck kinda crap is that?? So what was mom to do.. Flip a coin and toss one of us out in the streets? Mom told her thanks for wasting her time but no thanks. Good girl mommy!!! I knew she loved us! ;-) Boy are we lucky boys.

Other than that mom started her Christmas shopping for her kids. I overheard her saying to dad that she wanted to get both Tristin and myself new crates. Oh are we looking forward to that. I hope we get them....

Mom is no longer a volunteer for HTH. She left the group a few weeks ago. But she isn't out of rescue completely. I knew she wouldn't be able to not do it. She loves it too much. She is now a member of Mapaw. She loves it and says all the people are wonderful. I can't wait to meet some of them. My mom has good taste in humans. If I do say so myself.

Her and daddy went to the Woman's Humane Society on Saturday to eval a husky that was there with her sibling. But was very happy to find Isis (that was her name) was already adopted pending a yard check. Mommy took down her tag number to check back on her in case her yard check don't pan out. I heard mom-mom saying she was beautiful. She was a red & white 6 month old with blue eyes. Mom-mom said she would have loved to have her come home and live with us. Just what we need around here another pesky kid getting into trouble.

Awe I have to tell everyone this but DON'T tell my mom I told she'll be upset. On Saturday they did some Christmas shopping with her mom and dad. An they had her make/adopt a build a bear husky. Mommy built a husky (DUH) and named her Nanook after our sister that is in heaven. Mommy cried while she was making her. She gave her a heartbeat and when you squeeze her her heart really beats. I heard daddy saying that mommy had everyone in there crying and in tears. She named her Nanook after our sister and even got her a birth certificate. She said it was in remembrance of the love of her life. I am glad mommy got to do that for my sister!!

Our 1st Interview

We have finally had the privilege of being interviewed by someone. We had requested that our dear friend Holly interview us and she did!!! Here are our questions and answers. I (Quincy) will go first:

Quincy:
1. What so you like most about Tristin?

Hmm, this is a very hard question but a very good one. If I had to narrow it down to only one thing it would have to be his playful nature. Tristin and I have always gotten along great. I remember the first day we met before mom and dad adopted him. We hit it off right away and were playing like he had known each other our entire lives. I remember mom, and Bev Tristins former foster mom jokingly saying "Jeez, you'd swear they were from the same litter". We were just meant to be brothers. So Yeah, most definitely his playful nature, we can play for hours on end.

2. Would you prefer to be an only dog, or have more fur siblings?

Oh no, I wouldn't want to be an only dog. I would love more than anything to have more fur siblings. But they would all need to know that I am in charge. I rule this roost!!

3. What is your favorite toy?

Owe another good one. I LOVE LOVE LOVE toys, especially ones Tristin has. But still my all time favorite toy is my kitty that my former foster mom and dad gave me. He is very well taken care of, my mommy makes sure hes nice and clean for me. The only thing is now he's missing his eyes... He looked at me funny one night so I took his eyes out.. LONG STORY. ;-)

4. Where is your favorite place to sleep?

I have a few favorite places to sleep actually. One would be with my mommy when she stays down here with us. But I also like to sleep at the bottom of the steps, its hard floor and its always cool. But my crate is my favorite place b/c I know that's my space. When I go in there mommy wont let her kids bother me and I can have my down time.

5. Do you know any tricks?

Yes, I do. I will shake and give "hi-fives". Mommy loves it when I do that. She always makes me do it when we do events with rescue. People seem to really get a kick outta it. I don't mind because I usually get yummies afterwards for being a good boy.

OK those were GREAT questions Holly. Thanks so much for interviewing me. I will let Tristin answer his questions now...

Hello every doggie boy and girl, Tristin here. I will now answer my interview questions.

Tristin:

1. What do you like most about Quindy?

I do have to say that the thing I like most about my brother would be his caring nature. Not too many people know this but when I was adopted I had a lot of "issues" I was afraid of everything and absolutely hated being alone. An Quincy was always there by my side to help me along with my mom and dad, overcome my issues.

2. Where would you like to visit, if you could go anywhere in the world?

I would love to go with my entire family to somewhere where it snowed all the time. I just love the snow. Mommy calls me her snow bunny.

3. Who is your hero?

My mommy is my hero. I love her more than anything in this world. She saw something in me that no one else did. I was a foster dog for quite some time and not one person was interested in adopting me. Lucky for me my mommy saw what others couldn't. So she convinced my dad that she just absolutely HAD TO have me. So when he came around they adopted me on Nov 25th, 2006 and I have been in absolute heaven ever since. Not to mention the fact that she was very patient with all my issues.

4. What is your favorite treat?

Oh this is a good one. I love food all kinds, but my absolute favorite treat would have to be bologna. We have our pop-pop trained he gives us both bologna each and every morning. An if he don't you'd better believe he hears about it.

5. Do you like it when people visit?

It depends on who it is. But usually I don't mind when people come over to visit. I like the attention, when my greedy hog brother allows me to get it.

Thanks Holly that was fun. I enjoyed answering your questions, good job on coming up with such good ones. Now comes the fun part Quincy and I have the opportunity to interview some of you.

If you want me to interview you, here's what you need to do:

1. If you are interested in being interviewed, leave me a comment saying, 'interview me.'
2. I will respond by posting five questions for you. I get to pick the questions.
3. You will update your blog with a post containing your answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

Come on now who wants to be interviewed by the Mud Monster and the DWB?? If you do all you have to do is leave a comment saying interview me!!

Tagged again with the new tag game

Hell-woooo everyone. Sorry we have been MIA for a while. Things here have been very crazy over the past week. Last week was a very sad week for all of us. Mommys kids were in the hospitol. Mommy had medic-wol problems she had to attend to. An two of our ferret siblings crossed over the rainbow bridge. Romeo and Juliet are now at the gates of the bridge with our sister Nanook. Just to name a few of the bad things that have happened here. Hence why we have been so scarce.

Anways it seems we have been tagged by our friend Bama. Bama came up with this new tag game that she is calling "The new tag game" it's actually pretty cool. We haven't done this one before. So here's how it works... basically all you have to do is list all the nicknames your human counterparts have for you. So here goes I will go first and then Tristin will do his.

Quincy-> Mud Monster, Puppers, Momma's boy, Doodle-bug, Love-bug, Doodles, Fuzz-butt, Mud-man, Dirty butt, Pup, Frick, Jealous, Lover boy, Garbage-gut, Bottom-less pit, Snuggle buggel, Cuddle pup, Mommys four legged child, Quince, and Q.

Tristin-> DWB (dirty white boy), Knuckle-head, Frack, Momma's boy, Shadow-puppy, White ass (don't ask me I don't particularly like this one either), Fuzz-man, Gentle giant, Tristin two-barks, Bob Barker, Lap pup, Mommy's four legged child, Trist, T, Picky, Love bug.

Hmmm.. We think thats it but I am sure there are a ton more. If we remember anymore I will post them at a later date.

We tag everyone who hasnt already done this yet. This is fun!!! Thanks Bama. Can't wait to see what everyones human counterparts call them.

Busy all around town

What can I say? It was a busy weekend here in PA. We did the Hike N Howl on Saturday with mom and dad. BOY, were there A LOT of huskys there. It was soooo stinking awesome. We got to see a lot of HTH alumni like us. We got to see our foster parents who took care of us before mommy and daddy adopted us. Mom brought her camera along to get pics but somehow it got broken in the car. I swear it wasn't us. Mom is pretty upset about it. So she is gonna see if we can borrow pics from other people to post later in the week.

There was this funny looking husky who walked around on two legs... what a sight that was. Don't tell anyone but my dad was in that.. well in whatever it was. I hear other people were inside it too. That is just creepy.. why would humans wanna be in a husky? Don't they know huskys don't walk around on two legs. An you don't see us walking around on two legs in people clothes or people skin.. Now do you??? I didn't think so!!!

Mom is also a lil sad about something else. . . I don't know if I told anyone or not but she had been taking care of a baby squirrel that fell outta it's nest and got hurt. He was I think, the 4th or 5th one mom has cared for. She was bottle feeding him and doing all the mommy things. An sadly he crossed over the rainbow bridge the morning of the hike. So everyone please say a lil prayer for him.

Oh. . I also forgot to tell everyone we got another ferret sister. Dad brought her home for mom the week before the hike. She is an albino like Romeo. Her name is Princess like our mommy. We have some pics of her but I have to see if mom will give up her camera so I can get the pics off the memory card. Keep an eye out for the pics everyone shes adorable!!

Sunday was an awesome day.. Our friend Indy came over with his mom and we got to play. He is so much fun I can't till we get to play again. Tristin really liked Indy he wanted to play with him like he does with me. But everytime Indy tried to play with him he'd roll over and be a baby. Indy's mom sent our mom the pics she took so we will have to find them and post them later in the week.

Lend A Pup

Our mommy has been pretty sad recently thinking about our sister Nanook. So our daddy found this poem for her. She really liked it and it made her cry.. which I would think would be bad. But apparently she loves it. So Tristin and I thought we would share it for everyone who have ever lost a loved companion. I hope it brings as much joy to others as it has our mommy and daddy.

Lend A Pup

I will lend to you for a while, a pup, God said,
For you to love him while he lives and mourn for him when he's dead.
Maybe for twelve or fourteen years, or maybe two or three
But will you, 'til I call him back, take care of him for me.
He'll bring his charms to gladden you and (should his stay be brief)
you'll always have his memories as solace for your grief.
I cannot promise he will stay, since all from earth return
But there are lessons taught below I want this pup to learn.

I've looked the whole world over in search of teachers true
And from the folk that crowd life's land I have chosen you.
Now will you give him all your love nor think the labor vain,
Nor hate me when I come to take my Pup back again.

I fancied that I heard them say "Dear Lord Thy Will be Done,"
For all the joys this Pup will bring, the risk of grief we'll run.
We'll shelter him with tenderness, we'll love him while we may
And for the happiness we've known forever grateful stay

But should you call him back much sooner than we've planned,
We'll brave the bitter grief that comes, and try to understand.
If, by our love, we've managed, your wishes to achieve
In memory of him we loved, to help us while we grieve.

When our faithful bundle departs this world of strife,
We'll have yet another Pup and love him all his life.

Hike N Howl 2nd request

Hi everypup guy and gal,
Sorry I haven't posted anything of importance in forever but things have been super busy around here. Mom and Dad are doing this thing with rescue called the 1st annual Hike N Howl. I know we posted about it once already but for those of you who don't know..

If your wondering what that is... Well it's a benefit event to help support the dogs assisted by the three groups of The Alliance of Northern Breed Rescues.

The Alliance of Northern Breed Rescues is Delaware Valley Siberian Husky Rescue, MaPaw Siberian Husky Rescue and Referral, and Harnessed to Hope Northern Breed Rescues. The three groups have pulled together for a monumental benefit hike on Saturday, September 1st 2007, at the Norristown Farm Park in Norristown, PA. It is going to be a BLAST!!!!

Wondering who can come?... Well . . all well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome to participate in the hike! One dog per person. Even if you don't have a dog, you can come on out and enjoy the event, or hike in the memory of a loved one.

Wondering who's gonna be there?... Well.. we'll have food, vendors, rescue groups, games, prizes, educational workshops, and other cool things. Its a great chance for everyone to come out with their dogs and have a great time with other dog lovers while helping to save less fortunate dogs. Just to name a few.

So here I am begging for people to pledge for me and Tristin..again. . . We are hiking in our sister Nanooks name.... and for other dogs like us who need to find loving fur ever homes. To sponsor us please go to www.hikenhowl.com Then click on Pledge Information scroll down and find Quincy and Tristin and then sponsor us... PLEASE. We will do our best and hike as hard as we can for all the doggies out there who need loving homes. Thanks everyone for reading this. An thanks again for sponsoring us!!! We loveeee you!!!!

Husky hugs and kisses,

Quincy

House Hunting

Today is a good day I saw mom on the computer earlier today looking at houses. An I heard her telling dad that she wouldn't buy a house unless the yard was big enough for us and the kids. How awesome is that? Tristin and I are super excited. Mom also promised dad that she would get him his red and white husky he so badly wants. So we will finally have a sister. WOOOOO WOOOOO good times to come. So excited. . . can't wait.

Oh moms getting us diner so I will update everyone once I know more. Keep them paws crossed for us that they find something with a BIG YARD and lots of space.

Husky Mania part 1

Today was a busy day for me. My mommy isn't feeling too good. So Tristin and I have been spending a lot of time trying to make her feel better. She went to go see the doctor today and got medicine... FINALLY!!! So basically we had a play day. We got to spend most of the day playing out back.. . . HUSKY MANIA part 1......

What are you looking at?? Husky Mania takes a lot outta me. Look out for part 2 and more pics.....

Tristin right before we started Husky Mania....

Like I already said it takes a lot outta me...

Tristin obviously isn't as worn out as I am... Guess I need to not take it so easy on the old man next time. Mom says hes not an old man.. because there is only a few months between us but.. I say he is! An I rule this roost!!!

Hot Day

Today was another scorcher. . We spent the majority of the day in the air conditioned house. Which felt wonderful!! We did spend a decent amount of time outside playing too. I played in my pool for a while, have I mentioned how much I love my pool?

I wanted to thank everyone for their advice on getting Tristin in the pool. He is slowing inching his way to it. He still wont get in but he is now drinking out of it. Which is a start, right?? I really think by the end of summer he will be in the pool at least once. Indy's idea almost worked... I had him chasing me and he almost followed me in.

On another note mom went out and bought us a new brush. So she is brushing us like crazy stealing our hair. She just loves brushing us... you would think she don't have hair of her own to brush or something. What is it with these humans and liking to steal our hair. An then they have the nerve to give it to the birds for their nests... are they serious??? Talk about rude!!!

This heat really has me bushed so I am going to go back to napping like I have been doing most of the day. More tomorrow... and some new pics tomorrow too... I am charging moms batteries for her camera.

Present

Look at what mom bought us . . Yup that's right we finally got a pool of our own. I personally think she was trying to make up for leaving us at Aunt Bev's for the weekend. You see it seems her, dad, mom-mom, pop-pop and the two kids went to the boardwalk on Friday. So Thursday we went to Aunt Bev's and spent the night. We love it there and its always a blast but nothing compairs to home!! Sorry Aunt Bev but it don't!!

Anyways isn't our pool the coolest.. it's even blue . . just for us BOYS!!! I love it. . . Wish I could say the same for Tristin. He don't seem to interested in it yet. But he will learn!!

Here I am trying to get Tristin's attention to get him to come play with me in the pool. But he just wouldn't come play. That's alright tho I love it!!

I was in and out of the pool all day long. As you can tell by this picture. I highly suggest to those of you who don't have one throw and fit and destroy something until your humans buy you one!!

Mom took this picture of Tristin thinking he was heading for the pool. . . but she was wrong.

Mom couldn't get him into the pool so she took random pics of him playing in the yard. The knuckle-head wouldn't get in the pool. Don't ask me why because it was AWESOME!!!

Just another random picture of cute old me.

Here is a picture of dad putting Tristin in the pool thinking that if he got in it once he would like it and stay in it.

Here is the very next picture. . . how wrong he was. . . No sooner did dad let him go and OUT he went!!

Another picture of me. Again I was trying to convince Tristin how much fun our pool is. But he still wasn't buying it. Any suggestions on how to make him like it??

Mom just loves this picture of me. I overheard her telling dad this is me saying "Nah-Nah Tristin look how much fun I am having in the pool". So I put it up here because mom likes it.

Random Pics

Most of my HTH friends have seen these pics. But everyone else hasn't, So I stole moms camera and got some of them for everyone to see.

Notice anything the same about these two pics? Mom says I always have my toung sticking out. . I just don't understand what she is talking about. Do you?

Pinned by the DWB. . He may have won this round. I will get him next time I swear!!! Afterall this was my very 1st snow!!! It's on next snow day!

Here I go tryingtoget my revenge indoors. But for some reason mom and dad won't let us wrestle inside. Something about not wanting us to break stuff . . Like we'd do that. . We are angels!!

Can you believe this knucklehead let mom put this on him?? An then had the nerve to smile about it. . . He makes me sick. He needs to take some lessons from me, or our friend Sasha. She has an embarassing sister named Isis who lets the humans put things on her too. So she knows what I am talking about.

Well I guess thats about all for now. Don't forget to sponsor us for the Hike N Howl. We need all the help we can get to help out all the doggies like us. Who if it werent for rescue wouldn't have had a chance in the world. Thanks everyone!!!

Please sponsor us!!!

Tristin, mom, dad, and myself are all hiking with Harnessed to Hope Northern Breed Rescue at the first annual Hike & Howl. It's going to be a really cool benefit hike on Saturday, Septemeber 1st, 2007, at the Norristown Farm Park in Norristown, PA. We are all hiking in our sister Nanook's memory. See the pics above for pics of her!! She was a REAL beauty!!!

The Hike N Howl is a benefit event to help support dogs like us that the Alliance of Northern Breed Rescues help. The Allicance of Northern Breed Rescues is Harnessed to Hope Northern Breed Rescue, Delaware Valley Siberian Husky Rescue, and MaPaw Siberian Husky Rescue & Referral. All well-behaved, leashed dogs are allowed to come hike with us. Or your humans friends who don't have dogs can come too!!! Or tell me how cool is this... You can hike in the memory of a loved one!!!

Me, Tristin, mom and dad are all hiking together in our baby sisters memory. To make a long story short. DWB met mom and Nanook our sister at our vets office the day mom had to help Nanook over the rainbow bridge. It turned out that someone poisoned her. After morning Nanook mom adopted me and DWB from Harnessed to Hope. Then she joined them to help out other doggies like us.

So thanks to our lil angel sister Nanook we found our mommy, daddy and our fur ever home. So in her memory we are hiking for her. To help other doggies like us find good homes. Please Please Please won't you sponsor us at the Hike & Howl and help us help other dogs like us find great fur ever homes?!?!

We will be adding a paypal button later on in the week to make it easier but if for the time being you would please go to www.HIKENHOWL.com and click on the Pledge Information button the left hand side of the page. Then look for the picture of us (Quincy & Tristin) and click on our paypal button. We would REALLY appreciate it as would all the fuzzies you would be helping us help. Thanks so much everyone!!!

Love and Licks,
Quincy & Tristin

Our ferret siblings

Just as promised we are posting pics of our ferret siblings. They are pretty cool, they make these really cool "squeaking noises" when they are playing. Its cool it sounds like a cooing baby or a cat puring to us. But there are four of them. Mom says its best to keep more than one of them. That way they can keep each other busy and happy. So I guess they are kinda like huskies.... you can't have just one!!

This picture is of Romeo (the albino one) and of Macbeth. Romeo was moms first ferret and the one who started her obsession with them. Mom fell in love with him and begged dad for weeks. Dad kept telling her no that they didn't need a ferret. Mom keep nagging dad and won out like she ALWAYS does. Macbeth was dads ferret, but according to mom he bit dad and drew blood right after mom and aunt Liz bought him for dad. An he has been moms ever since.

This is Romeo again.

This picture is of Juliet the Lil peanut. She is what is known as a sable ferret. She is the only female one in the pack. She was moms second ferret. Mom went into a pet store to buy food for her "zoo" at the time. An saw a sign for a ferret in box/pen with the birds. (Which is NOT smart, ONE ferret can kill a Macaw parrot in seconds flat). She asked to see it and they told her there was nothing in there as the man shook out the towel and out rolled Juliet and the rest is history. Dad told her no, she said yes please. So dad bought her for mom for her birthday. The other ferret in the pic that you can actually see is Macbeth again. Notice a theme?... Shakespeare.... Romeo, Juliet, Macbeth. Mom loves Shakespeare.

This is Macbeth again.

This picture is of mom with the four fuzzies. From left to right. It Macbeth, Casanova or 'Nova as he's more often called, Juliet, and Romeo. Just PLEASE DON'T tell mom we posted this pic. She HATES pictures and will kill us for posting this pic.

Mom knows ALOT about ferrets if you ever have any questions about them, or any animal for that matter ask her. She is always talking to people about animals. An she has this thing she calls her "pet binder". We tore up a few pages of it once and boy was mom mad!!! They were yummy tho....

Our own personal tag game.

Ya know we have been thinking and we are getting tagged by everyone and we never have the chance to tag anyone. Because by the time we get tagged everyone we know has already done it. So we are coming up with our own tag game. Hope you all get tagged at some point by someone!! We also hope you have as much fun doing this as we did. Some of the questions may have been asked on other ones but Oh well... So here goes nothing . .

You have been hit with the "tag bug". I am tagging Indy, Sasha, Holly, and Magic & Georgie to answer the following questions and then each tag 5 people to do the same. Have fun and "Happy tagging"

  1. Where is your favorite place to sleep??

  2. Is there a specific trick your humans make you do to get treats??

  3. If you could spend an entire day doing anything at all with anyone what would you do and with whom??

  4. What is your favorite toy??

  5. If you could change one thing in your life. What would you change??

Now to be fair to everyone we will answer the questions and start the game. Here are my answers (Quincys)

  1. I love to sleep in my crate. Everyone leaves me alone when I go in there. Mom even makes her kids leave me alone when I am in there.

  2. Yes, its embarassing but mom makes me "shake" or "give hi-five".

  3. I would spend the entire day with my mom and dad playing in the mud. Its my day right? I didn't say mom and dad would enjoy it. ;-)

  4. I love my stuffed kitty that my foster parents gave me. An my kong because it's always filled with goodies.

  5. I would like to see my sister more often. I often wonder how she is doing. I frequently find myself wondering how she is and hoping she is as happy as I am!!

Now I guess I will let the DWB answer the questions. . . Hi everyone Tristin here and here are my answers to our questions:

  1. I love to sleep on the sofa with the pillows. I love the softness of it.

  2. Well . . mom tries to make me do tricks but I just look at her like.. yeah ok mom not happening and after a few mins she give in. An Quincy calls me a momma's boy. Look who's shaking and giving hi-fives for his treats?!?!

  3. I have to agree with Quincy I would spend the day with mom and dad but I would go to the park and play fetch with my toys in the back yard. Without any loud noises.. They really creep me out.

  4. Yeah I have a favorite toy. My orange squeeky dinosaur toy. I carry it with me everywhere because if I dont my stingy bother will tear it up and it wont squeak anymore.

  5. If I could change one thing in my life I would bring our sister Nanook back to my mommy. I met her before mommy adopted me and Quincy and boy was she cute!!! I know the three of us woulda had a blast playing in the back yard.

Now that we are done its time for Indy, Sasha, Holly, and Magic & Georgie to catch the "tag bug". Have fun!!!

Our time capsules

Our good friends Magic & Georgie tagged us to tell everyone 5 things we would put in a time capsule. So we will each do our own and tell you.

Quincy's time capsule:

  1. First and foremost I would have to but bologna... MMMM I just love bologna.
  2. Secondly, I would have to say my stuffied kitty. That I got from my foster mommy and daddy. Yes, I still have him and I just love him.
  3. My pronge collar and leash. Because I know whenever mom or dad gets it-it means we are going somewhere SUPER fun!!!
  4. My kong, and peanut butter... Mmm I just gotta have it!!!
  5. My family. . . I love them and wouldn't want to be without any of them!!!

Tristins time capsule:

  1. My orange squeaky dinosaur. I just love him. He was one of the first toys mommy ever bought me. I take him everywhere and I REFUSE to let Quincy play with him. He breaks all my squeaky toys.
  2. The humans couch and pillows. I just love their comforts. . . so soft!!
  3. I have to agree with the mud monster... I need my kong and peanut butter, well and my bologna too!!!
  4. Again I have to agree with the mud man and the prong collar and leash. They equal fun times!!
  5. I would have to also take my people. I can't live without them. But to be different I am going to have to say I need my brush and comb.. I just love to be brushed!!!

Now we tag Mr Frodo K. Banks, Girl Girl, and The Brat Pack.

We were also tagged by Sasha to list our favorite books. We have to think about that one. So we will post our favorites tomorrow on those. Night for now everyone. We are going to think of our favorite books now.

New Pictures

Hi everyone Tristin here. I finally did it I found the humans camera. Can you believe she had the nerve to hide it in her car???? I guess she thought I wouldn't be able to find it there. Or maybe she forgot it was there... whatever the case I found it today when we went to the park.

Quincy plays like he don't like the camera and having his picture taken yet here he is being all cute. Tho, I do have to give him credit. He taught me how to eat sticks... Those things ARE pretty yummy!!!

Here we are playing in our yard. . . Did we ever tell you how BIG our yard really is?? I think I heard mom say its something like almost 2 acres or something like that. I don't know what an "acre" is but our yard is huge!!!

Here I am just being cute rolling around in the flowers. Mom said she knew I knew how to play and be a puppy. Duh thank you captain obvious!!! Geesh are humans really that dumb??

Awww I just love this green grass!!!

Well this is my closing pic. My paws are hurting. . typing without thumbs is hard work you know. . . We just love to sleep on the couch together. We hate not being together. We refuse to let mom or dad walk one of us without the other. If you walk one of us without the other. We scream bloody hell and raise all kinds of hell. You can hear the one not being walked from the far back corner of our yard. Speaking of our yard. I will have to get mom to stand against the house and take a pic of how big our yard really is. An then again in the field and take of pic of it. Look for those pics soon! Oh and of our ferret brothers and sister. They are the coolest lil critters pretty cute too!!!

Our long week thus far

Darn that human woman and hiding her camera from us. At least I was able to finally get on her computer. She finally went to bed. Geesh that woman is a freaking computer hog!!!! I could really use some advice on how to get her off long enough to let us blog.... anyone?? And any advice on where I can find that dreaded camera??

Anways alots been going on here. Daddy and the grandparents have been on vacation all week long. So they have been doing stuff around the house everyday. Except for the day we got to sleep over Auntie Bevs. Which can I say was awesome.... we had so much fun. Can't wait to do it again!!! The new foster girl Aunt Bev has is so tiny.. we couldn't belive she was a mommy dog. She looks like a puppy still herself. Stupid human people letting her lil butt have pups.

Back to the "house work" . . I am personally a lil angry with dad. He boxed in the shed so now we can't get under it no matter how hard we try. Which really annoys me because I used to chase all the animals out from under there. I would come in all muddy and upset the human folk. Boy do I LOVE doing that!!! HAHA ROOO mom don't call me her lil devil dog for nothing.
:-P

The loony father of ours is also working with pop-pop to close in under my pool and get rid of all our mud spots. Boxing it in with wood and vinyl siding... Planting sod all over MY yard, as if couldn't tear that up in two seconds... I will teach them to think they are smarter than a husky. An man, don't even get me started on my mommy filling in all our beautiful holes. What is wrong with her??? Don't she realize I just got them the way I like them??? Heads are gonna spin for all these awful changes. I will woo and keep them all up all night long. You just wait and see....heads are gonna spin!!!

SLEEP OVER!!!!

Hi all DWB here. I am so excited!!! We are getting to have a sleep over at my auntie Bev's on Monday night. *Doing my happy dance* I just looooooove it when we get to stay there. Quincy like it too but he misses his mommy and sometimes whines. My mommy and daddy are going crabbing whatever that is. Not that I could really give a crap, because I get to see my auntie Bev and my former foster brothers and sister Yasha, Yuri, Poods, and the lil witch Quinn-cess. I swear Quinn has a crush on me. Don't they say you only hurt those you love??? She really needs to start a blog. Hint Hint Quin!!!

Anyways other than my upcoming sleep over. We are way psyched dad is on vacation for a whole week. Which means park walkies every single day and night... WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Aww man do I LOVE the park. Just thinking about daily and nightly walkies in the park gets me all warm and fuzzie inside.

Mommy took more pics of us with her camera the other day. I really gotta get that memory card from her and post those pics. There are some really cute ones of me rolling around in the back yard playing like a puppy. HA . . and people thought I would never do it. They just didn't know how irresistably adorable I can be. I just knew where I wanted to be and whom I wanted to live with. It worked I got my way ;-) An some stupid humans think were dumb. HOW DARE THEY???

Yeah, Umm, Thanks everyone. . . I took all your "wonderful" advice on chewing up mommys ribbon collars. She didn't stop putting them on me. She just got mad at me and said and I quote "DWB that isn't like you... What's the matter with you??? That's NOT nice!!!!". Thanks everyone for making mommy get mad at me. (Swear I am NOT a mommys boy)

I guess thats all for now. I really do have to get those pics up. I have to steal or better yet have Quincy steal mommys camera so I don't get in trouble. ;-) Night everyone.

Sloganize your life.

I saw Mom on this website yesterday and it looked pretty cool. So first chance I got I went to it and sloganized each of our names and for me I got: "There's First Love, and There's Quincy Love." An when I did Tristin's I got: "Please Don't Squeeze The Tristin."

You should check it out and Sloganize your names. It is pretty funny. But don't cheat. Keep the first one you get. Here is the link to the site : http://www.thesurrealist.co.uk/slogan.cgi? When you get to the site you just type in your name where it asks for a word. I will be looking for your slogans on your blogs. SO. . . get to it!! ;-)

Case of the zoomies.

DWB and I had the zoomies today. We ran around like idiots half the afternoon. We got all kinds of goodies because the 4th was DWB's birthday and mommy likes to celebrate birthday's for a whole weekend.... Lucky us. We aren't spoiled that's how its supposed to be. So those of you who don't get birthday weeks and weekends. . . claw your humans till they give you what is rightfully yours!!!

I annoyed mom today something fierce. I kept getting into my favorite place in the backyard. The MUD!!!!! HAHAHA Every time that stupid woman would clean me off I would come back covered in it again from head to toe. I thought it was hysterical. That ass kissing brother of mine wouldn't play with me. I guess he didn't wanna get all muddy. . Damn brown noser. Made me look bad. Tried as I did I couldn't coax him into the mud with me. . His loss he has no idea what hes missing!!! Now her and those other evil humans are gonna make it so I can't get into my favorite spot anymore... damn them!!! I WILL FIND A WAY. . I PROMISE YOU THAT!!!!!

DWB is pretty mad at mom. She has been making those stupid ribbon collars and making us model them. Obviously him more than me because I have perfected the art of riping them off in two point two seconds. DWB just looks at her all pathetically like mom please get these off me now. Then she feels bad and usually takes them off. Seems she is getting hip to his game and makes him wear them a bit longer. Something about modeling them somewheres. Boy that's horrible I keep telling him to rip it off but the darn ass kisser just wont. Stupid mommas boy. He will learn, I will teach him how to be a husky yet!!

We'll it's getting late and my paws are hurting so I am going to go join DWB on the couch for a nap before we got to bed. I took this photo of him sleeping on his favorite spot the couch. Don't tell him I posted it. He might get upset. :-P
