A Rescuer's Answering Maching Message

A Rescuer's Answering Machine Message

A Rescuer's Answering Machine Message:
‘Hello, You have reached 123-4567, Tender Hearts Rescue. Due to the high volume of calls we have been receiving, please listen closely to the following options and choose the one that best describes you or your situation:
Press 1 if you think we are veterinarians and want free medical advice.
Press 2 if you know we are a rescue organization but want to save money and have us give you free, untrained medical advice anyway.
Press 3 if you make $200,000 a year but still want us to pay to spay the "stray" in your yard (house).
Press 4 if you have a 10-year-old dog and your 15-year-old son has suddenly become allergic and you need to find the dog a new home right away.
Press 5 if you have three dogs, had a baby and want to get rid of your dogs because you are the only person in the world to have a baby and dogs at the same time.
Press 6 if your dog is sick and needs a vet but you need the money for your vacation.
Press 7 if you just got a brand new puppy and your old dog is having problems adjusting so you want to get rid of the old one right away.
Press 8 if your little puppy has grown up and is no longer small and cute and you want to trade it in for a new model.
Press 9 if you are elderly and want to adopt a cute puppy who is active and is going to outlive you.
Press 10 if your relative has died and you don't want to care for their elderly dog because it doesn't fit your lifestyle.
Press 11 if you are moving today and need to immediately place your 150 pound, 8-year-old, unneutered, aggressive dog.
Press 12 if you want an unpaid volunteer to come to your home today and pick up the dog you no longer want.
Press 13 if you have been feeding and caring for a "stray" for the last three years, are moving and suddenly determine it's not your dog.
Press 14 if you are calling at 6 a.m. to make sure you wake me up before I have to go to work so you can drop a dog off on your way to work.
Press 15 to leave us an anonymous garbled message, letting us know you have left a dog in our yard in the middle of January, which is in fact, better than just leaving the dog with no message.
Press 16 if you are going to get angry because we are not going to take your dog that you have had for fifteen years, because it is not our responsibility.
Press 17 if you are going to threaten to take your ten year old dog to be euthanized because we can't get to your house in the next hour.
Press 18 if you're going to get angry because the volunteers had the audacity to go on vacation and leave the dogs in care of a trusted volunteer who is not authorized to take your personal pet.
Press 19 if you want one of our perfectly trained, housebroken, kid and cat friendly purebred tiny dogs that we have an abundance of.
Press 20 if you want us to take your dog that has a slight aggression problem, i.e. has only bitten a few people and killed your neighbor's cats.
Press 21 if you have already called once and been told we don't take personal surrenders but thought you would get a different person this time with a different answer.
Press 22 if you want us to use space that would go to a stray to board your personal dog while you are on vacation, free of charge, of course.
Press 23 if it is Christmas Eve or Easter morning and you want me to deliver an eight week old puppy to your house by 6:30 am before your kids wake up.
Press 24 if you have bought your children a duckling, chick or baby bunny for Easter and it is now Christmas and no longer cute.
Press 25 if you want us to take your female dog who has already had ten litters, but we can't spay her because she is pregnant again and it is against your religion.
Press 26 if you're lying to make one of our younger volunteers feel bad and take your personal pet off your hands.
Press 27 if your cat is biting and not using the litter box because it is declawed, but are not willing to accept the responsibility that the cat's behavior is altered because of your nice furniture.
Press 28 if your two year old male dog is marking all over your house but you just haven't gotten around to having him neutered.
Press 29 if you previously had an outdoor only dog and are calling because she is suddenly pregnant.
Press 30 if you have done "everything" to housebreak your dog and have had no success but you don't want to crate the dog because it is cruel.
Press 31 if you didn't listen to the message asking for an evening phone number and you left your work number when all volunteers are also working and you are angry because no one called you back.
Press 32 if you need a puppy immediately and cannot wait because today is your daughter's birthday and you forgot when she was born.
Press 33 if your dog's coat doesn't match your new furniture and you need a different color or breed.
Press 34 if your new love doesn't like your dog and you are too stupid to get rid of the new friend (who will dump you in the next month anyway) instead of the dog.
Finally, Press 35 if you went through all these 'presses' and didn't hear enough. This press will connect you to the sounds of tears being shed by one of our volunteers who is holding a discarded old dog while the vet mercifully frees him from the grief of missing his family.’

Still Dog-pressed

Hi all its me Quincy. I took my blog back over. There is still a somber mood here in the muddy world of the mud man. Mom is still very upset over Peaches. Dad says its because she is pregnant and her emotions are "wild". That and Peaches was with mom since she was 7 yrs old and mom had a special bond with her. *Sighs* I sure hope I can live at least that long. So I can be with my mommy that long too.

My mom-mom is doing better than we all thought she would. But Candy and Peanut her other two Pomeranians -- not so much. They both keep searching for her. They still wont go sleep up in bed with mom-mom and pop-pop like they usually do. They have been sleeping down stairs where Peaches spent her time. Mom assured mom-mom that they will eventually stop doing that when they realize that she isn't coming home.

I miss Peaches too -- She was a lively old girl. She was always full of sass. She gave me such a hard time each and every time I went over for a visit. She demanded respect and she got it. Mom tells me she lived with their two huskys Sir Jay and Misty Blue (They crossed the bridge long before I was even born so I never knew them). I have heard stories about them and how I resemble Sir Jay which is part of the reason mom fell in love with me. Peaches also got to live with my big sister Nanook. An of course with me and Tristin too. She was a sassy old girl and a very strong girl to have trained so many sibes and poms. God speed Peaches.

Blog Take-Over

Hi bloggers,
Dana here Quincy's mom. I am taking over his blog for the day. As some of you may know I had to help my families Pomeranian cross over the bridge yesterday. As is to be expected today has been pretty hard for me. I went with my dad yesterday to take Peaches, our families 19 yr old Pomeranian to cross over the bridge. She was a fraile old girl she was blind, death, could no longer hold her bowls, and spent the entire night before whimpering in pain just to name a few things. So we all knew it was well past time to help her on her way, me especially. It wasn't something that any pet owner likes to do or looks forward to. Yet I knew it my heart it had to be done. It came to a point where I had to tell my mom (Peaches was "her" dog) that she was doing Peaches a huge injustice by making her go on. It didn't take long for her to agree and understand what I meant. It has only less than two years that me myself got the same speech about my first Husky Nanook. Like I was told in some strange way there is some comfort in knowing that your beloved pet if free from their pain and suffering. Which as hard as it is to swallow and even accept is true. I like I said went with my dad and I was with her till the very end, I held her close as the doctor helped her on her way. I kissed her and told her to sleep that all her pain and suffering would be over soon. She went very peacefully and actually looked at me as if she was happy. Happy that she could once again be young and pain free and that she could play frisbee and roll those big yard balls around on her nose. Man did she love doing both of those things. I miss her so much and even those she wasn't actually "my dog" I feel as tho I have lost one of my own. She has been around and a huge part of my life since I was 7 years old. I am going to be 26 so she had a great life but it never seems long enough. I know it had to be done and she is now happy and is watching over us. Playing with all the fur babies that went before her... Yet my heart still feels a miss and I am sad. Extremely sad that she isn't here anymore. Am I selfish for wishing she could be here with us still?. . Maybe but I did what I knew had to be done to help her and free her pain. May she watch over my family and know we all miss her so much and she will forever live in our hearts. God speed my dear sweet Peaches . . .

Good-Bye Peaches

"If It Should Be"

If it be I grow frail and weak,

And pain should wake me from my sleep,

Then you must do what must be done,

For this last battle can’t be won.

You will be sad,

I’ll understand,

Don’t let your grief then stay your hand,

For this day more than all the rest,

Your love and friendship stand the test.

We’ve had so many happy years,

What is to come will hold no fears,

You’ll not want me to suffer, so,

When the time comes, please let me go.

I know in time,

you too will see,

It is a kindness you do me,

Although my tail its last has waved,

From pain and suffering, I’ve been saved.

Do not grieve that it should be you,

Who has to decide this thing to do

We’ve been so close, we two, these years,

Don’t let your heart hold any tears.

My new bed

My momma bought me a new bed.. actually two of them. One for my crate and one for the floor in our living room. They are so nice and comfy and get this -- I get new ones again after um-com-time whatever that is. Mom said she is gonna order me this thingy for my crate called a Primo-Pad. She said shes been reading about them and that they are supposed to be wonderful and cool even in the hot summer. Anyone of you have them or know about them? Are they wonderful like mom says?? I'm looking forward to getting one. Any suggestions on colors? They come in seven colors. Purple, Teal, Navy, Red, Black,Tan, Grey. I can't decide what color to get. HELP!!! Mom's favorite thing about them is the lifetime guarantee. Supposedly they claim if I ever tear it up in anyway they will replace it for free. I am gonna have fun testing this theory out!!!

I don't know what this "um-com-time" thingy is but I can't wait for it. All sorts of new things are coming my way then. I get my primo-pad, a new crate. Cuz moms biped bent the door on my old one. :-( Toys and all kinds of other things. Not to mention all the other new toys and things I hear the pawrents talking about.

Huzzie Pose

I have taken notice that everyone has been recently posting their "hussie poses". Well I am not a big fan of this pose unless my tummie is being rubbed. But I have a few family members who are professionals at it. So I am going to take the liberty of posting their pics. Here they are in all their glory --

Pip and Oreo two of fuzzie siblings.

This is 'Nova, Oreo, and Pip. All 3 of my fuzzie siblings.

This is Pip in her hammock and Oreo below her. Trying to look cute and innocent. But trust me their (all three of them) are master hussies.

Play bows,

Quincy

Thank-Woos

First off I just wanted to thank all my DWB pals and their hupawrents for all their well wishies. They certainly helped my mommy and they made her smile. I also wanted to thank all my Sibermal pals! You are all wonderful pups and people!

It has happened boredom has finally set it. Things have still been slow going around here. While mom is feeling a little better she still isn't herself. On a more positive note her doctors seem to think they "might know" what is going on with her and why she is loosing weight. I over heard mom saying something about possibly having a "gal blabber" infection. Not sure what that is but I do know if it is what is making my mommy sick I don't like it. Not one bit!!

Just curious to see how the weather is where everyone is?? It has been miserably hot here. But thankfully mom has kept our cool box running. So it has been bearable. :-) Not to mention that she's kept the bipeds pool filled with nice cool water which shes allowing me to swim in. We usually going that after daddy comes home from work and its a Lil cooler. Oh and have I mentioned how she is now filling my water bowl with ice cubes and water... Yum Yum Yum!!!

It's finally finished -- My special pressie is being sent to my special lady this weekend. I am super excited about it. I worked extra special hard on it I hope she likes it! I can't post pics of it though because its a surprise and I don't want her to see it. Shhhh. . . I know you all understand. Besides I am sure she will make her biped post pics of it when she gets it if she likes it. An that is how I am going to end this post. . . . .

Frustrating

Yeah that basically sums up how I am feeling-- Frustrated!! I need prayers for my mommy and our new biped. Mommy had a doctors appointment yesterday and things didn't go to well. Apparently mom keeps loosing weight which I guess isn't a good thing?!? I over heard mom telling daddy that the doctors said they weren't sure the baby was going to make it or not. So mommy is in a horrible slump. She don't wanna do anything shes so depressed it just stinks.

I don't know what to do I have tried everything. All my usual tricks to make her laugh. I have given the "love me" and the "I'm sorry" looks but NOTHING is working. She has even put her business on hold for a while. When I say she is doing NOTHING I seriously mean not a darned thing.

I was supposed to have a play date with my brother Tristin and one of Mapaws foster pups today. But now mom isn't sure if we are going to go or not. She understandably isn't sure if shes up for it. That and a friend of Tristins moms had her baby yesterday. He wasn't due until September. They think he will be alright but he is in the nicu and hes getting the lowest available level of oxygen.

*Sighs* -- I really don't feel much like blogging anymore. Please just send your sibe vibes and well wishes to my mommy and her biped and also to the new biped born yesterday!

A very frustrated, depressed pup,
Quincy

Bag & Clock

It has been decided. I am sending my love a clock. I just have to wait till mom gets around to finishing it. So I can send it to her, I am also sending her a special gift. But shh that part is a secret.

I am also getting mom a bag made by my pal Dave of the AO4. I just have to save up the last bit of money. Thankfully daddy & my grandpawrents are helping me with the funding. But its only gonna be from little old me!! I know Dave is gonna do a wonderful job of making it. There is also no doubt in my mind that my mom will LOVE LOVE LOVE it!! I can't wait..

Clocks for my Luv

Hi everyone as some of you may or may not know my pawrents make personalized clocks. They even have a blog called DNSBARTS. Well they were contacted a while ago to make my gurrlfriends pawrents a clock. Then with all the commotion around here with new bipeds and cleaning and stuff. Honestly it just didn't get done.. but now after much pawing and annoying I got mom to make a few different styles since Bamas mommy never told mom how she wanted it made. Those of you in the SMS can see the two different ones mom made and let me know which one you like best. Between us pups I think I am going to send it to Bamas mom along with pressies for my Bama as a gift. But SHH this is TOP SECRECT!!!!

Bag for my mom

Today is a slow day, moms cleaning, the bipeds are in trouble as usual. We did go swimming for a while earlier. But now I'm just relaxing chewing on my new knuckle bone. Mom buys them for me almost every week. They are my favorite the only thing that drives me nuts is how she waits till I get it just the way I like it. Then she trashes it and out pops a new one. . . .

Anyways things still are hectic around here with the new biped on the way and all. Not only is mom with baby but so is my Aunt Liz. My aunt Donna just had her biped. She had a little girl and my Aunt Liz just found out shes having her first boy!! She's excited about that (she has 3 girls already). I am still hoping mom has a girl -- but shh!!
I think I am going to have the A04's mom make my mommy a bag. She didn't get anything for her birthday and she always goes out of her way to make me happy. So I wanna return the favor. She really is the worlds best mommy!!! I will let you know when I know more.
Well my bone is lonely so I am going to go back to chewing on it . . . Talk to all you puppers and lovely ladies later.
Big Sloppy Puppy Kisses,
Quincy

Pics part 1

I finally got mom to get batteries for her camera but of course shes been using it -- ALOT!! But I was able to steal it for a few mins the other night to grab a few pics of Eclipse (our half-moon conure). I will post them now and work on getting more pics.. Look out for parts 2, 3 and 4 in the next few days.

Busy Busy Busy

Just like my title says I've been busy busy busy. Mom & dad have been remodeling our house. Something about preparing for the new biped. Everytime I turn around something else is either being brought into the house or being thrown away. I am on high alert to make sure my things don't get trashed!! Not that mom or dad would trash my stuff but the bipeds according to mom are in their "throw everything away phase". (Pretty funny if you ask me, watching mom or dad pick through the garbage bags for things that are "lost")

We got a pool outback which I occasionally swim in. Even tho I am not supposed to. It's plastic they think I will pop it But I always get away with swimming in it. Mom always says how cute I look splashing around and laying in it!! She's been trying to get pictures of me in it but I jump out when she pulls the flasher out.

The oldest biped Michael got a pet bird. A "half-moon conure" whatever that is. He is pretty cool tho. They just got him last Saturday and he is talking already. He says "WHAT??", cracks me up because mom will ask him something and he comes back with WHAT everytime. I will have to try to get a video of him doing it. I will also post pics of him soon. Moms camera needs new batteries. Yeah-- I will work on that.

Speaking of pictures I have to post some new ones of myself and my family soon. Been a LONG time. But again the stupid camera is dead. Grrrrr!!

Mom finds out what her newest bipeds sex is this month. Oh and in cause I didn't tell anyone the baby is due December 25Th, 2008. Mom kinda wants a daughter but don't really care as long as he/she is healthy. Don't tell mom but I am secretly praying its a girl. Too much testosterone in here for me. Besides the ladies are keen on me and I ALWAYS get what I want from the ladies!!! ;-)

Speaking of the ladies. . . . I wonder how mine is doing?? Has anyone heard word from Bama?? I miss her ever so much. Seems like ever since these darn people started this stupid SMS Society shes never around. This saddens me deeply. I thought our love was meant to be. But I guess maybe not. I haven't heard a word from her in ages.... I still think of you and look at your beautifwool picture daily my lil princess.

Forever thinking of you Bama. . . .

Big sloppy puppy huggles and kisses,

Quincy

Sour Stomach

Hi everyone Dana here. I never take over the dogs blog but I felt the need to tonight. I came acrost two things tonight that really made my stomach turn sour. I got an email from a fellow rescue friend and to make a long story short. There is a local shelter who is planning on using prison inmates to replace the shelters staff. HOW BLASTED STUPID IS THIS???? I am utterly appalled!! Here is the parts of the email I am allowed to share with you all is in blue. I think all those of you who also find this appalling and disgraceful should email and or write to him.

In my capacity as animal advocate for the Burlington County Animal Shelter, I am composing and sending this email in the hopes that this will help protect our animals from harm, theft and substandard care.

Those who know me know that there are few issues dearer to my heart than working to PROFESSIONALIZE shelter staffs. So it was with nothing less than alarm that I was informed today that beginning June 2, 2008, the county will begin using prison labor at the shelter and, worse, as staff resign or retire, the county plans to INCREASE the use of prison labor. IOW, the Burlington County Animal Shelter's future will not include better trained, more dedicated staff, but whoever is in jail on work release at a given moment. Don't believe me? This is from a letter dated May 13, 2008 to the county union from director of human resources Daniel Hornickel:

"..., as discussed the County will not lay off any employees as a result of the introduction on inmate labor. Rather, when positions open up through attrition, they will not be refilled by new hires; instead, the County will increase its use of inmate staffing."

Please note that these aren't "community service" people who are on probation, but people who some judge or other decided should do prison time.

My own main concerns include:
(1) Rapidly faltering and falling staff competence.
(2) The safety of staff and the public.
(3) The security of our meds and needles in the vet lab.
(4) Most of all, the safety and security of our animals, especially our Pit Bulls. We have had thefts in the past, including a spree that stopped when one particular person was caught and arrested. Now we'll have a constant parade of people from that world who an ever decreasing number of staff will have to watch like hawks.

Please email Daniel Hornickel protesting this at: dhornickel@co. burlington. nj.us

Or call at: 609-265-5403

Or write a letter to:
Daniel Hornickel

PO Box 6000
Mount Holly NJ 08060-6000

Be civilized, but to the point! :-)

Those of you with good media contacts are invited to contact them!

I know I can't be the only one who finds this to be sickening. Arrrrgh. . . . . .

On another note, I was at a community yard sale yesterday that happens in my area. When I came acrost a family sitting out front with a bunch of kittens. I being the animal lover that I am just had to stop and say hello to them. They were gorgeous Lil things about 6 of them. My husband asks how old they were when the woman turns around and holds one up and says "This ones about a month and the rest are 2 weeks old". Immediately Michael and I look at each other in dismay and say they're all beautiful. She then turns around and says "You want them??" I thinking shes joking say NO thanks my husky would eat them. When to my suprise she says "Oh that's alright. My Shepard eats them all the time. I am constantly pulling them outta his mouth. He is always eating them". To which I replied without even thinking. Then you shouldn't be allowing your cat to be having kittens if your dog keeps eating them. Gave her an earful about the harms of "free to a good home". Also lectured her about allowing her unspayed cat to roam freely and on how her kittens were too young to be taken away from there mother beings they were still nursing. Then walked away -- I was so utterly annoyed with this woman's stupidity that I seriously wanted to smack her. Thankfully for her by the time we got back to her house she had moved the mother, the kittens and her family inside her house. I did take down her address and give it to a few friends of mine who do cat rescue. One of them is going to hopefully get them and find them the homes they so deserve.

I swear day by day I really do dislike the human race more and more, for the most part. I know they're are still those of us out there that are decent but people just amaze me. Why would you knowingly let your dog eat your kittens. Allow your cat to be constantly knocked up when you don't want or cant care for the kittens. How can you free to a home them when people just use them as snake food or worse. Ehhh!

Ground Hogs

Hi everyone!! I just wanted to tell you all that mom has been researching how to get rid of groundhogs.

As it seems we have a family of them living under our house and a few back under our shed and mom is afraid I am going to get them. But apparently the only ways she has found to get rid of them is either gonna cost her over $300 for the first one and then $75-125 per each additional one. Or her other option is to put watermelon flavored bubbleishish bubble gum at the entrance to their homes. Which they apparently LOVE but is fatal to them. Mom don't have the money to pay to have them removed which even if she did they by PA State law would have to be euthanized immediately. An she refuses to feed it bubble gum.

So my question is do any of you have any humane suggestions for ridding your home of these creatures without killing them or sucking MY money from moms wallet??

New Biped

Oops -- They did it again!! Mom & Dad are expecting another Lil biped. They just found out Tuesday night. So I am going to have a new baby brother or sister. I swear they are gluttons for punishment. 3 bipeds in diapers are they insane?!?!

They are pretty excited about it so I guess I am too. This one girl or boy better be as nice to me as the other two are. I have been spending quite a lot of time with mom. Dad says I have been watching over her and protecting my baby. I am kind of excited about it tho to be honest but don't tell the humans. The other two were here already when I came into the picture. Mom isn't too sure how far along she is yet. Her girl thing has been off -- Whatever that means. So she goes to her baby doctor on May 9Th to find how far she is. So keep an eye out for that future post. I am off for now to go keep momma company. Talk to you all later!

Play bows,
Quincy

Cool Poem

I was routing through moms things and found this really cool poem. So I thought I would share it with all my DWB friends. Mom is going to be framing this and hanging it out front of our front door. She said she may change it a little bit since we have more than dogs here. But I like it none the less. . .

My dogs live here, They're here to stay.
If you don't like pets. Be on your way.
They share my home, my food, my space.
This is their home, This is their place.
You will find dog hair on the floor.
They will alert you're at the door.
They may request a little pat.
A simple "No" will settle that.
It gripes me when I hear you say.
Just how is it you live this way?
They smell, They shed, They're in the way..
WHO ASKED YOU?? Is all I can say!!
They love me more than anyone.
My voice is like the rising sun.
They merely have to hear me say
'C'mon, Time to go play
Then tails way and faces grin.
They bounce and hope and make a din.
They never say 'no time for you'.
They're always there, to go and do.
And if I'm sad? They're by my side.
And if I'm mad? They circle wide.
And if I laugh, they laugh with me.
They understand, They always see.
So once again, I say to you.
Come visit me, but know this too...
My dogs live here, They're here to stay.
You don't like pets, be on your way.
They share my home, my food, my space.
This is their home, This is their place.
I think it is an awesome poem, and mom thinks so too. I hope all my DWB buddies are enjoying this lovely weather like I am. Its pawsitively perfect 64 degrees, not too hot. I was gonna say not too cold but for us huskies its never too cold. ;-)
Play bows,
Quincy

DNSBARTS Donations

Moms business DNSBARTS has been recently been contacted by several 501 (c)(3) organizations about donations for clocks. Guess what -- She is donating them to them all! She talked things over with her business partners (all family of mine!!). They all agreed to do it -- How awesome is that. One of the groups that contacted her is Adopt a Husky, Inc. So mom and me made up one of our husky clocks and sent it out to them for their upcoming event!! Mom and I hope the clock brings them lots of money!!!

I haven't forgotten about part 2 of my fence series. I just haven't gotten around to it yet. Things here have been nuts. Moms been doing something called "spring cleaning". These bipeds sure are strange. That and I have been super busy playing in my new yard and planning on where I want my things out there. I will get around to posting that soon, huskys honor!!

Fence -- Part 1

It has FINALLY happened. I have been hearing the bipeds talk about fixing my fence since I moved in this dump. Well it has finally begun.. about time right?!?! I thought so too. Anyways beings this weekend was so nice mom & dad finally got off their lazy butts and worked on MY yard. They put up the new gate latches. I tried telling them they only needed one but NO -- Mom insisted on having two to make sure it was "secure". Then they put up the piece of fence that has been missing since we moved in here. So while I sill can't run leash-less yet. I can at least go out on my 50 foot leash in the yard. (Not that I didn't already do that.) But now they will drop the leash so "I can think I am not leashed". As if I were that stupid but hey it's a start right. I can't blame the bipeds for being stupid its their nature -- Isn't it??

I heard them saying they are going to put chicken wire up all along the bottom to reinforce it. That way I can't get under it, apparently its high at some spots, it don't meet the ground. Chicken wire??? ... Umm hello last I checked I was a Siberian Husky not a flipping chicken!! Whatever just get it chicken wired so I can run loose in my own yard.

I have pictures of what they have done so far. I just need to get moms camera which right now isn't here. Some nonsense about her needing it for their zoo trip today. Why she needs to go the zoo when shes lives in one is beyond me. So look for pictures from the zoo in a later post as well. Im gonna go back to my chair and sleep some more.

Play bows,
Quincy

PSSST --> I have noticed all my DWB buddies blogs are pretty none exsistant since our bipeds started this SiberMalSociety crap!! I think we need to come together and do something about this nonsense!!!

Busy Dayz, Mom's Ebay Store

Hurmph... It's been chaotic around here recently. Between doctors visits, vet visits, friends being sick, the bipeds being sick and mom going back to work. Not much has been blogged. I appoligize for that.

Moms been so busy getting things for her business up and running that her and dad hardly leave me time to get on the 'puter. Right now they are working on getting an actual website and a domain -- Whatever the heck that is.

Anywho -- Mom & Dad have a blog called DNSBARTS which is the name of their business. But they arent getting much traffic to their blog. So I am taking it upon myself to do some adtiversing for them. Afterall the more clocks they sell the more goodies I get. So I am asking all my DWB freinds to help me out here. If you all could drop by and show some love and if possible put a link on your blogs to theirs so they get more traffic. It would be greatly appreciated. Its apparent to me mom and dad need my help on this one. An lord knows my tummie needs the yummies! ;-)

Mom also has an ebay store with all her clocks on it. You can click HERE to check that out too. Her ebay store is called "The Clock Store" -- I know how original. Thats why the thinking should be left to us and not the bipeds. But what can a dog do??

*Yawns* . . . I have done my good deed for the day. I am going to go back to my napping. Thanks to all my DWB freinds. If you ever need anything just ask, thats what freinds are for!!

One more thing before I go... Wet, slobbery, puppy kisses for my puppy princess. (You know who you are). . .

XOXO,
Quincy

Tristins "Special" picture

I forgot to post this so I am doing it now. I got this from my brother last time we went to the dog park. (This past weekend) Yes, We went again and I got to play with him again. Its now going to be a weekly thing!! But anyways here is my brothers special picture. He is so handsome.

On another note I still haven't heard from Bama. I hope all is alright with her pack. I would honestly prefer it to be that she just isn't into me anymore than have something wrong with her pack. I have heard people say bad news is better than no news and I must say now I agree...

Still thinking of you Bama. . .

Tristin, Dog Park, & Bama

This weekend was one of the best weekends I have had in a long while. I got to go to a dog park with my brother TRISTIN!!! Aunt Bev came and picked up me and my biped. Then we drove to Sasha & Isis bipeds house. Then me, Tristin, Isis, and our bipeds went to the dog park. It was soooo much fun!! We also got to play with a few of our other husky friends. But blogger is being stupid and wont let me post any more pictures. :-( Let me just say it was husky take over at the dog park. It was great!!

After we all played for a while we walked South Street and the bipeds had lunch. Everyone was commenting on how we were all beautiful. They kept asking us where our sled was. . . Afterall their were 5 of us. One biped even said "WOW what a beautiful pack." I loved playing with my husky friends & walking along South Street. But most of all I loved seeing my brother and playing with him all day. I am posting what pictures blogger is allowing me to post. Maybe I will post more later.

On another note.. I must say I am kinda depressed. I have not heard from my princess Bama. Has my wuv lost interest in me??? :-( I stopped by her blog and did notice other fellas wanted her. Which I can totally understand she is one Boootiwool girl!! But if she has lost interest in me I wish she would tell me. Bama my dear have you forgotten me??? I still care about wooo princess.

My Yearly Vet Visit

Ah Yes, It was time for my yearly vet visit. I had my appointment yesterday on my daddy's birthday & St. Patricks day. Mom was a little nervous as she thought I had lost weight. She thought I might have been depressed since my brother moved in with Aunt Bev. So she did the "whole work-up".

I made her walk me around the yard for a whole half hour before I would go poo. She did what many of my DWB's friends moms did. She wanted to baggie my poo. YUCK!! The humans are bagging our poo yet were disgusting for licking ourselves. They need to just fess up and admit if they could do it they would too.

Anyways yesterday was very eventful... We all got up at 6am with dad, even the lil bipeds. Mom walked me around the yard for a half hour to bag my poo. Then mom and the bipeds took dad to work. Mom and the bipeds came home, picked me up. From here mom and I dropped off the bipeds to mom-mom & Uncle Tony's. Then mom took me to the vets but before we went in we went for a nice walkie.

When we arrived at the vets it was like a normal visit a few other doggies and cats here and there. I was a good boy I said hello to everyone then sat down with mom. Until a boxer puppy came in with his daddy. Then I started talking to him (mom says I started yapping my brains out) and we played a little bit. He was very cute he was only 4 months old and his daddy was awesome. He was keeping his ears hes wasn't going to crop them. Shortly thereafter it got PACKED there was only standing room. I also got to see and play with a pug, a Shepard lab mix, a large black poodle (mom said he was a standard sized poodle). But boy was he big and fluffy!! A Pomeranian, 3 cats (they didn't wanna play with me tho), a bulldog, Oh and another husky!!!

Then they called me back to have my examination. I saw Doctor Betty - I have never seen her before so I was a little scared. But mom assured me she was nice. She is who saw my cousin Candy. Doc Betty came in and I tried to hide under moms chair. They coaxed me out and mom was right she is SUPER NICE!! She got on the floor and played with me, gave me belly rubs, scratched my ears, listened to my heart and lungs. Felt me all over and looked at my gums and teeth. The only thing she did which I think was a little rude was looking at my hiney hole. I don't know why she felt the need to do that but whatever floats her boat. All in all she said I looked great.

Then mom brought up the "me being too skinny" question. Doctor Betty said I am just PERECT. Long term I will be much healthier and it will be better for my muscles and joints. So there mom! I think she is just used to fat huskies -- no offense to anyone of course.

After the talk and some questions and more belly rubs. I went for a walk in the back with Doctor Betty. I got weighed again and I weigh 53.2 lbs, I got my shots and had a heartworm test done. Then they scanned me to make sure my microchip was still in and working -- Which it is.

Then I came back out to my mommy. Who paid my bill and got my heartworm meds and frontline and we left. She told me what a great puppers I was and am. She drove me home with the front two windows down. (I was safely secured in the back with no chance of escape) When we got home we went for another walkies just the two of us. I got my lunch and then mom went to go get the bipeds.

Mom then went with the bipeds to get dad from work. They all then came home gave daddy his birthday presents. My mom-mom & pop-pop came over and gave me goodies and gave my daddy a cake. A brown derby cake -- For those of you who don't know its a chocolate cake with vanilla icining filled with strawberries and banannas. Covered with chocolate covered banannas and strawberries.

So that was my day in a nutshell. I hope all my DWB friends had a wonderful St. Patricks day too!! An in the odd chance that anyone else had a birthday like my daddy did yesterday. I hope you had a happy birthday too!

Mapaw Auction & Bama

Evening every pup and huuman out there. Mapaw is having their annual fundraiser to raise money for the husky in need. So I asked my mom to donate a clock from me to the auction. I have included a picture of it. So everyone click HERE and go bid on it. There are huskys out there who need the money and the help!!! I'm counting on woo all to get your huumans plastic thingy and bid on Mapaws items to help out the pups.

The winner of the auction may also "accidentally" wind up with some of my fur in it!!! ;-)

An to My Princess Bama - still wuv you. I have been busy too so I understand. Momma has been busy on the 'puter she finally got her ebay store up and running. So she has been making clocks like crazy and has almost 200 of her designs on ebay. Anyone can click here to see some of them.

SNOW DAY

We actually got snow like the stupid huuman on tv said. I played for about an hour outside this morning with my mommy. Then she stupidly complained it was too cold and she had to "warm up". She was also complaining that it was too hard to watch me and her two bipeds alone. (Dad went to work) So there were no photos. But daddy did come home early and we all got to play outside in the snow several times and there were photos of those times. Woo wooo it was so much fun, dad and mom kept hitting me in the butt with snow balls. I know how rude is that??? I am pretty bushed after all my snow fun. So I will leave you all with some pictures of me in the snow. The last one is my favorite. Can you see the disapproval in my face. That picture was taken right after she said I HAD TO COME IN!!! Stupid huumans ruin all our fun!!!

Updates

Hm mm ... So much has gone on recently and mom is finally going to let me post about the thing that's been on everyones minds. A lot of our blogging friends have been asking where my brother (Tristin) has been. Let me clear the air and fill everypup in. My brother has gone to live with my Aunt Bev. He woke up one morning and decided he didn't like our moms youngest biped. So for his safety the decision was made for him to go live with Aunt Bev. While this was not an easy decision for mom or me -- It had to be done. We all miss the DWB and we thankfully still get to see him -- ALOT. An ever better still is I still get to play with him. Mom wouldn't let me post about it sooner because as you can imagine its been very hard for her. The thought of it still makes her cry. DWB's mom has giving me permission to still blog for him and post pictures of him so he will still be a part of my blog. But as you guessed most of the posts on the blog will now be just solely from me.

Now on to other updates. As some of you know the Beautifwoool Bama accepted my proposal and is now my girrrrrl-friend. I am soo happy about that, as she is such a beautifwoool woman. I am the luckiest pup alive!!! But I need some help puppers and pupetts both Bama and myself have made it our mission to find her brother Chili a girlfriend. Click here to check out his personal add. So all avilable cuties out there check him out and if your available and interested stop by their blog and leave him a comment!!! He is quite the looker ladies!!!

OH -- I heard the huumans talking about a Ram - a - Lamb bag. That the AO4's mommy made. For those of you who haven't seen it yet click here to stop by the Army of Fours blog to check it out. Its HOT HOT HOT!! Anyways, Rumor has it my girlfriends mom wants it. So Bama I have concocted a plan I think will work and get us together... Here's my plan -- I have MADE it my mom's mission in life to win it in the Mapaw Auction. That way my woo can come here to see me. I am sooo smart!!!! hehehehe My mom better bid on it and win or I will claw her so badly. Do woo all think it will work??

But in all seriousness I hope it will bring in a lot of money for Mapaw. I hear they have a special sibe in rescue who needs surgery for his sight. Paws will be crossed for that special doggie. An thank woo to Dave and his mommy for making the bag and informing all us bloggers about why they made it! Great job!!

Now my final part of my updates is some pictures I pawed outta moms camera. I figured since I haven't posted any new pictures in a while. It was in order.

These first two are fur my Princess. . . .

I am looking fur woo my wuv!

Oh -- I think I see woo.

Hm -- It wasnt you my dear. But I will keep looking -- That I promise!!

Big Sloppy Kisses for my wuv. An play bows for everyone else!!

Tagged

Well it would seem that I have been tagged by my good friend Sasha. An apparently I have to post 7 wierd facts about myself. So here goes:

1.) I love to eat wood. All kinds wooden blocks, beads, projects my parents are working on that they stupidly leave out.

2.) Much like Sasha I will NOT catch anything food wise that is thrown at me. I will allow it to bounce off my head and then eat it off the floor.

3.) I absolutely love car rides until I am in the car and then I whine like a baby. Mom says I get nervous and possibly car sick even tho I don't yack in the car.

4.) I think I am a lap dog and will at my liking place myself in your lap. Weather you like it or not. An if you discord me sitting in your lap I will slap you!!

5.) I have in my life eaten or destroyed over $500 in my moms business supplies. Yeah she wasnt too happy about that -- Oh well. I also very recently just ate my moms sofa.

6.) I absolutely loathe having my rear end touched. I will nip ya if you insist on touching me there. The only person who can touch me there is my mom and she has to literally pin me to do it.

7.) Oh and lastly I am famous. My mom uses my pictures for many of the clocks she makes. An I was on the cover of a rescues cookbook.

Ok now that that is done. I have to post the rules so here goes...

The rules to the tag:
1. Once you are tagged, link back to the blogger who tagged you.
2. Post the rules on your blog.
3. Post 7 random or weird facts about yourself on your blog.
4. Tag 7 bloggers and link to them.
5. Comment on their blog to let them know they have been tagged.

I choose to tag Steve, Kat & Wilbur, Kelsey Ann, Sky & Canyon aka the Kapp pack, and Amber of the Army of Four. I know that's not 7 blogs but it is 7 bloggers. ;-)

Lazy Dayz

Today is my lazy day mum is cleaning the house for the bipeds birthday party. Her oldest is going to turn 3 on Friday. So they are having his party on Saturday. So I will be spending the weekend at my Aunt Bev's. Which, BTW, can I say I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! But any ways like I was saying mum and dad are cleaning the house. They are shampooing the carpets and unpacking boxes and other fun stuff. So I am taking it easy as you can tell. Mum said I am going to have to get up off her floor soon since she is going to be moping it soon. Hummmph.. how rude .. she needs to mop her floors on her own time. I am staying off her carpets what more does she want??? . . . .

Prayers for Our Cousin Candy

I was hoping to get everyone to say a prayer for our cousin Candy. I stole mums camera and stole the picture of Candy that I posted above. Mom was talking to mom-mom last Friday night and Candy was "hacking" and sounded bad. So mum got up bright and early Saturday morning to take her in. Mum sat in the vets office from 11am till 2pm. Candy has a heart murmor and needs to be on medication. Which is apparently will need to be on for the rest of her life. Once her condition stabilizes she needs to go have her teeth cleaned and have an echo-cardigram. So mum has been traveling back and forth to mom-moms twice a day to give Candy her medication. Mum said that she isn't hacking as much but shes still hacking. Which her vet (who is my vet) said would be the case. So everyone please say a prayer for my cousin Candy.

Sorry I haven't posted in a bit -- With all the sadness I just honestly haven't felt like it. I do have some good news -- It snowed here last week and mom and dad took me out to play in it. An boy did I have a blast!!! I am posting a few pics of me and dad out back playing in the snow storm. The last one is us after we came in from out back (we played for over an hour) and boy we sure were tired. You can tell my looking at my face I was beat!!

Good-bye Macbeth

It is with very soggy eyes and a very heavy heart that I must post this. Dispite all moms efforts and all her hard work. Macbeth crossed over the rainbow bridge last night. He is now free from pain and suffering and he is young again. I know he is playing happily doing that lil ferret giggle they do when mommy or daddy plays with them.

Although he is young and healthy again he is and will be greatly missed for many years to come. We all love you and miss you. Run and play happily with Romeo, Juliet, Nanook and all our other friends until we meet again.

God Speed dear Macbeth. . . .

Boat-load-of-Sadness

Hi everyone,

Lord knows there has been a boat load of sadness lately. An I am sorry to say I must add to that boat. On top of us and our mommy being so very upset about all the sadness the Brats and Maryann have endured these past few months. We have our own boat of sadness to unleash on our blogging friends.

We haven't been around much these past few days because our cousin Sammy had to be helped over the Bridge on Saturday morning. Sammy was our aunts cat. Who according to our mommy has been a part of the family since long before she even became a part of it. While we aren't cat dogs he really was a cool cat. He was the only one of the cats at pop-pop's who would hang out when we went there to visit. Mom says he was almost 19 years old.

On top of that one of our ferret brothers is very ill and mommy has been nursing him almost around the clock for well over 48 hours now. He is getting up there in ferret age but mommy said she isn't ready to say goodbye yet. His vet told her that so long as she can get him to eat and he is in her opinion alright to just keep doing what shes doing. Mommy is very good with ferrets -- She kept Romeo and Juliet to live well past what normal ferrets live in captivity.

So that's why we have been scarce. Not only that but our mom has been busy planning her bipeds 3rd birthday party. An shes been "fixing up" our house. So things have been busy to say the least. We promise after the bipeds party to be on more often.

I am going to close this post with a few pics of our beloved cousin Sammy. RIP dear Sammy. You will be greatly missed...

Prayers for Durango and the Brat Pack

Hi everyone

I am writing to you all to ask you all to please please please say a prayer for our dear friends The Brat Pack and Durango

Since the loss of Thrawn the brats mommy adopted a puppy named Durango and it turns out the poor lil guy has parvo. :-( This is no joke -- I know I myself am a parvo survivor. So I am begging that everyone say a prayer for Durango and the Brats that Durango's transfusion works. So he can get better and have the life he so dearly deserves.

Im going to sign off for now but know my paws are tightly crossed and the Brats and Maryann are in my prayers!!!

Quincy

New Recruits

I don't mean to brag or anything but I have two minions. I have recruited my moms bipeds to do my duties for me. If your wondering what I'm talking about just check out the photos below...

All I can say about it is.. When your good your good. Now I have people to do my "light work" for me and also someone to take responsibility for it too. Like I said when your good your good and me -- I am darn good!!!

Quincy VS the couch

Look what I did -- Unfortunately I cant blame anyone else because mom caught me doing it. :-( She just shook her head and said "BOY -- You are SO lucky I love you!!" Then I got the old "That's not nice you know better" speech.

I really don't know why I did it. I just got bored and it seemed like a good thing to do at the time. Mom told dad when he came home from work. He had a Lil different reaction than mom. He just said "What am I going to do with you Quincy". I don't think he was too happy about it either.

In all fairness to me. . . I did hear mom and dad saying they wanted to buy new living room furniture. So I helped them see that they really needed to. They should just be happy I decided to do it to their old set and not their new one. But don't tell mom I said that -- OK.
